Specsavers County Championship - Division 1
Somerset 436 all out v Surrey 69-1
DAY THREE ABANDONED
SOMERSET'S County Championship survival bid took a hit today, as persistent rain saw the third day of their match with Surrey washed out.
Umpires Nick Cook and Nigel Cowley abandoned play for the day at lunchtime, with casual water on the covers and outfield.

With nine wickets remaining in Surrey's first innings, the match looks set to finish in a draw, which will frustrate Somerset given the excellent performance by their batsmen on the first two days.
Somerset are now bottom of the Division 1 standings, after Warwickshire beat Middlesex by 190 runs yesterday.
However, the batting points gained by Somerset will take them back above their relegation rivals upon the conclusion of the match in Taunton.
