SOMERSET'S two-day friendly with the South African tourists ended in a tame draw at the County Ground today with the Cidermen 50-1 in the second innings.

Somerset had made 312-8 declared in their first innings before South Africa replied with 282-9.

However the match was overshadowed by a serious eye injury to South African wicket-keeper Mark Boucher which has brought a premature end to his Test career.
