TAUNTON Vale Ladies 2nds drew 1-1 against ISCA 3rds at Exeter University in Premier Two of the West Clubs women's league.

Vale started strongly, showing great composure and passing the ball well, but ISCA were also strong enough to hold off the attacks.

ISCA took the lead but Vale didn't allow their heads to fall. They continued to play well and were creating opportunities although struggled to find the back of the goal.

However their hard work paid off before half time with Vicky perkins converting a 1v1 with the goalie.

Player of the match was goalkeeper Rachael Sharland for some outstanding saves.

Vale: Vicky Perkins, Georgina Woodhead, Rachael Sharland, Claire Baker, Sarah Hayes, Rachel Truman, Fran Carpenter, Bella Slawin, Sophie Cloughton, sophie Barrell, Alana O'dell, Millie Workman and Laura Stone.

Claire Hancock scored six goals as Vale 3rds beat EVCH 7-3 at home in the Central Division.

Vale: Lorraine House, Cara Whitmore, Sam King, Georgia Davey, Claire Hancock, Chrissi Curno, Laura Double, Millie Bruce, Alex Chillcott, Helena Patton, Bryony Goddard, Lisa wren and Sally Pitkin Vale 4ths lost 7-0 to Sedgemoor 1 leaders Taw Valley who showed just why they are top of the league.

Player of the match: Vicky Tindall.

Vale: Sharron Tregunna, Vicky Tindall, Anne Dowds, Ange Davis, Elaine Baldstone, Emma Davenport, Fiona Guest, Becca Withers, Bex Macdonnagh, Tereasa Priest, Kelly Smith and Alex Mason.

Vale 5ths won 2-1 at Weston Super Mare in Sedgemoor division 2.
