BASKETBALL: Taunton Revolution too strong for Minehead

TAUNTON Revolution beat Minehead 60-29 in the Somerset league.

The scoring was slow to get going and Taunton led just 10-7 at the end of the first quarter.

In the second quarter Taunton continued to rotate players and defence was again the focus.

Tad Gray returned from several games out giving Taunton a boost off the bench with 10 in the second, and quick guard Matt Scott-Davies showed great poise making good decisions on the court. At the half Taunton held a 29-15 advantage.

In the third Taunton players continued to chase the ball and press at times, giving the visiting Eagles side problems getting to the hoop.

Marcin Gladys stepped up with five in the third and Taunton gave Minehead only four points, taking a good lead into the last period.
