PRIORSWOOD abc novice Bailey Nixon recorded his third win in a row at the expense of home boxer Isaac Fellows at Weston-super-Mare.

Fellows lacked Nixon’s height but immediately pushed him back onto the ropes.

Nixon was not given time to get into his boxing, and struggled to keep Fellows at bay, with the Weston lad edging the first round.

In round two Fellows slowed, giving Nixon the chance to get into his stride, and towards the end of the round Nixon pinned his opponent on the ropes and unloaded a barrage of unanswered punches to take the round.

Round three continued with more of the same, with Fellows struggling to keep Nixon at bay.

Nixon was declared the winner with a unanimus decision, and giving him his third win in a row in his first season TAUNTON Fight Factory boxer Barry ‘Relentless’ King gets a shot at a British ‘white collar’ title on Saturday, June 7 at Exeter’s rococo night club.

King has an impressive fight record of five fights and five wins in less than 18 months and has trained hard to achieve his goal of a title belt.

Also on the bill is clubmate Lee ‘Hurricane’ Harris, boasting a record of five wins in six fights, who is fighting for an area title.

Harris is looking to turn professional at the end of the year subject to his next few title fights.

Also on the Exeter show are Fight Factory boxers Levi Saunders, making his second appearance, and Gavin Swateridge making his third.

Two of the club’s female boxers, Helen Cordes and Joy Lake are making their debuts this Saturday in an ‘all or nothing’ show at Bridgwater Town Hall with Troy Holley, Barry King and Gavin Swateridge having warm-up bouts.

The club is always looking for sponsors and support and ideally would like premises of their own.
