On a bright, dry day, tempered by a chill north-easterly wind, 45 ladies from Taunton & Pickeridge Golf Club donned their thermals for a 12-hole Stableford competition.

At the end of what turned out to be an enjoyable round it was the consistently excellent golf of Janet Kingston who amassed 25 points over the 12 holes who was the winner of the Silver Division.

Jane Ledsham and Caroline Cooper were the best of the chasing pack in the Silver Division both returning with 22 points.

In the Bronze Division it was Susan Gawne-Cain who was the winner with 24 points, one ahead of second placed Liz Stevens with 23, who enjoyed the same advantage over Janet Smart with 22.

Taunton and Pickeridge junior golfers enjoyed considerable success over the course of 2014.

T&P Juniors won the league title for the first time in many years after a fantastic performance by all of the team throughout the summer.
