THE Taunton Sunday league had its first taste of bad weather postponements at the weekend with only five games being played.

However they did provide plenty of entertainment.

The game of the day saw DB United take on Bathpool, both of whom have struggled with consistency so far this season.

Bathpool powered into a 3-0 lead but were hauled back by DB who levelled at 3-3.

Bathpool composed themselves and moved 5-3 ahead but still DB came back at them and made it 5-4.

The home team were then given the perfect opportunity to level with the award of a penalty, but Jordan Luton in the Bathpool goal saved the spot kick and Bathpool held on for a crucial win.

James Weaver scored three for the visitors with Tom Edwards and James Garrad also on target.

North Curry won 2-0 at AFC Dunster in the only second division game.

In the third division White Hart Albion beat AEK Taunton 5-2 with Shane Hills scoring two and one each from John Matthews, Sam Bate and Craig Allen making up the total.

The win helped maintain the gap between themselves and leaders Castle-moat to four points.

Castlemoat survived a scare at Watchet coming away with a 3-2 win.
