TAUNTON Titans visit Canterbury in National league 2 (S) tomorrow on the back of a three game winning streak.

This season, Canterbury find themselves at the wrong end of the table but on their home turf can never be taken lightly as they have already beaten Chinnor at home as well as running league leaders Henley close, losing by a point in the last minute of the game.

As for the Titans, they might have the luxury of being able to pick from some of their injured players this week with prop Jake Woolmore and Toby East, who should both be back in contention if they pass their fitness tests.

Also in contention is a player who made his debut for the Titans last weekend when he came off the bench.

Prop Jack Stanley, who celebrates his 18th birthday this week, came on to replace stalwart Mark Manton with an age difference of 30 years so was a definite Old School for New School substitution.

Jack is on loan from Exeter Chiefs and has played in some A league games this season.

He is in the England Under-18s squad and was watched at Hyde Park by former England backrower and World Cup winner Richard Hill, who is the liaison manager for England who helps to identify, mentor and develop young players between the ages of 15 and 19.

Following this weekend’s away game, the Titans then enjoy back-to-back home games against Worthing and Bishops Stortford which will certainly go a long way on how their season finishes.

However, they have to get their first ever win at Canterbury.
