OLD Inn pulled off a huge result to storm to the top of Division One, toppling leaders Tone Youth off their perch with a 3-2 victory. Adam Smith scored both Tone Youth’s goals.

Tone still hold a four point lead in second over Bathpool who secured a 1-0 win at Ash Rangers.

Bathpool had much the better of the first half and deservedly took the lead, heading home from a corner.

Ash worked hard to try and get back into the game in the second period but Bathpool, who were reduced to ten men with 30 minutes to go, managed to hold on.

AFC Grove are without a doubt the in form team in the division. After losing their opening two league games they have won five and drawn one since.

On Sunday they won 7-2 against a much-improved Hamilton.

Grove led 3-1 at half time and produced a great second half performance to romp to victory. Nick Woon produced another master class scoring no less than six. Shane Shirley scored the other on his debut.

Mariners remain unbeaten thanks to a 5-0 win at Hamilton reserves. Tom Johnson scored twice with one each for Ian Salter, Mark Oram and Matthew Garland.

Mariners stand six points off the leaders but have no less than five games in hand.

Wyvern swept aside Trinity Rangers 8-0 while Carhamp-ton had a 6-4 success at AEK Taunton.

Shepherds Thursday and Watchet drew 3-3 with Paul Lawrence, Simon Clothier and Dave Bennet scoring for Thursdays.
