LIAM Adams, who hails from Michigan, will be spending the spring term at King’s College in Taunton as part of an exchange programme.

The 16-year-old, who attends the high school in Fenton, Michigan, is relishing his opportunity to spend time in a different environment and widen his experiences.

Liam is a very keen footballer and also a talented musician who plays both the drums and the guitar, so he will have plenty of opportunity to get fully involved with life at the college. Later in the year a footballer from King’s will return to spend time at Fenton High School.

King’s College has a well-established tradition of sports exchanges and believes firmly in the importance of cultural and social values of such exchanges on the development of life skills and individual character. Currently two boys from the third form are spending half a term in South Africa on a cricket exchange.

Chris Heayns the Head of Football at King’s, said: “Life is really about being open to opportunities as they arise, so when I met Liam’s father at a conference last year and the conversation found its way to football and Liam’s passion for the game and his desire to experience football in its country of birth the solution was obvious.”
