THREE girls from King’s College in Taunton have been selected to play in the Independent Schools’ Under-18 team against Australia Schools at Harrow on Sunday.
Leea Dod, Katy Hanscombe and Shannon Vickery are all members of the highly successful King’s College team that won the ISFA Under-18 11-a-side trophy in 2014 and then retained the ISFA seven-a-side trophy in the autumn.
Chris Heayns, Head of Football at King’s, said: “I am of course both delighted and very proud of the girls and what they have achieved in getting to the squad and now being selected for an International fixture.
“Leea in particular has had an amazing journey having only started playing football at the start of 2013.
“King’s is all about providing opportunities and these girls have grasped theirs with both hands.”
