Under 13's League Cup
Isle of Wedmore 5, Wellington Wildcats 1
WELLINGTON Wildcats under 13s manager John Sellick said his side 'thoroughly enjoyed' Saturday's cup finals day at Robert Blake Academy, despite losing out to Isle of Wedmore.
The Wildcats were beaten 5-1, with Poppy Butt scoring their only goal of the day - but Sellick said his side had performed well, but were unable to take their chances in front of goal.
"The girls thoroughly enjoyed the day, but we did run out losers by five goals to one," said John.
"But at the end of the day, we had our chances but didn't finish them in front of goal.
"It's the first time they have got to the cup final, so it was a good experience for them - and as long as they are enjoying their football, that's what is important to me and the girls can be very proud of their achievements this season."
