AFTER getting back on the proverbial bike last weekend the Titans have been challenged by the coaches to make it two out of two, and not just a one-off performance that had the pace and intensity that they had asked for.

This weekend, though, the Titans will be put to the test in the late kick-off (4.30pm) by the visiting Henley Hawks, who last time they were in National 2 South did the double over the Titans and were the outstanding team in the division.

After last season in National League 1 the Hawks have had a poor start to the season by their standards and will have had an eye on the Titans' results of late.

They in turn will be hoping that a win at Hyde Park could be the kick-start to their season.

After only four wins out of 12 Henley find themselves third from bottom and will be determined to start to move up the league before the Christmas break.

This season the Titans, due to injuries and unavailability, have used 39 players in their 12 games and have given 17 players their debuts.

Last weekend saw back row Conor Harbison get his starting debut, which he capped with a well-taken try, as well as two other players making fine starts – Harvey Skinner and Tom Hooper.

Fellow back row Hooper came off the bench for his first taste of National League rugby after some impressive displays for the Warriors.

And Skinner got his first game for the Titans after a lengthy layoff from injury, but looked like he had been there all season.

With fly-half Toby East coming off the bench for the Warriors last weekend and Tom Popham starting to ease his way back into training, the Titans are beginning to get some strength in depth in the back division, which will help with the big games coming up over the coming weeks.
