WHIRLWINDS Trampolining Club have been busy attending five weekends of regional, national and international competitions all over the country, and ended the year with a bang, coming away with 42 medals.

At Wigan it was the last qualifying event to earn a spot at the national league finals and Becky Jarrett (trampoline) and Liam Isaac, Lucinda Parr and Ella Hopper-Bleeks on the DMT (double mini trampoline) all picked up the gold medals.

Ella also got silver on the trampoline along with Lucy Morton and Chloe Eggleton on the DMT.

Liam Isaac (trampoline) and Becky (DMT) both won bronze medal, as did Jasmin Uminski .

Next up the Whirlwinds faced competition from across Europe including Sweden and Belgium.

The teams held their nerve on the bigger stage, enjoying the experience.

Ella Hooper-Bleeks came away as David Ward Hunt International Champion, while Lucinda Parr picked up a silver and Liam Isaac a bronze.

In the English Championships, Becky Jarrett (DMT) and Zach King (trampoline) became champions, while Ella Hooper-Bleeks and Lucinda Parr picked up silver and Liam Isaac earned a bronze.

Finishing up the weekend was Isaac Turner winning a silver medal in the synchro event where two gymnasts perform the same routine at the same time.

The next competition was the national league finals held in the Olympic Velodrome.

Whirlwinds enjoyed yet another great weekend coming away with three national league champions - Ella Hooper-Bleeks, Chloe Eggleton and Liam Isaac.

The success didn’t stop there as Becky Jarrett picked up second on DMT and third on trampoline.

Jacob Turner earned second on DMT and Zach King finished it off with third on the trampoline.

Finally came the last competition of the year, the South West Championships.

Ending the year the way they started, Whirlwinds earned more titles and more medals - Lucinda Parr, Jacob Turner, Liam Isaac and Lauren Giles all became South West Champions in their respective ages and levels.

Ella Hooper-Bleeks picked up the silver medal on DMT along with Isaac Turner who got silver in both trampoline and DMT.

Following Isaac, Connor White also earned medals in both, this time bronze.

Lastly Annabel Pollard, Lucinda Parr, Erin Boon, Ella Ray, Chloe Eggleton, Becky Jarrett and Lauren Giles all received silver team medals.

After a busy couple of months, Whirlwinds are now ready to rest and get ready to start training hard to make next year just as successful.
