TAUNTON Town seek a return to winning ways tonight, as they travel to Kayte Lane to take on Bishops Cleeve (ko 7.45pm).

The Peacocks' wobble in form has seen them draw 0-0 at home to Swindon Supermarine and lose 2-1 away to Paulton Rovers.

The latter match brought an end to their 12-game unbeaten run, and Leigh Robinson's men face another tricky test tonight as they seek to get their promotion challenge back on track.

Bishops Cleeve may sit 14th in the Evo-Stik Southern League Division 1 South & West table, but they have gone five games without a defeat and on Saturday they won 4-2 at Town's playoff rivals Supermarine.

The teams are yet to meet in the league this season, but Town won their FA Trophy encounter in October 1-0, thanks to an Owen Irish goal.

Robinson, who described the Paulton defeat as "a bad day at the office", has a full squad to select from aside from injured skipper Brett Trowbridge - as Ross Staley, who missed the weekend's game for family reasons, returns and Ed Palmer's suspension is yet to kick in.

Robinson added: "We've got a boat load of games still to play and plenty of character to overcome minor blips like [Saturday]."

Yet he is under no illusions about the challenge posed by tonight's opponents, saying: "It’s always a tough game at Bishops Cleeve.

"They had a great result at the weekend and will be full of confidence no doubt.

"The pitch will undoubtedly be heavy after the recent weather and this means we need to apply ourselves better than Saturday if we are to get a result."
