YEOVIL Town Ladies are in good shape heading into the Spring Series, with 10 players extending their contracts at the club.
Captain Ellie Curson, Nicola Cousins, Helen Bleazard, Annie Heatherson, Nadia Lawrence, Jessie Jones, Leah Burridge, Kelly Snook, Lucy Quinn and Steph Williams have all put pen to paper in the last 10 days for the Lady Glovers, who won promotion to the top flight last season.
Skipper Curson said: “It’s a great honour to be captain again for the forthcoming season.
“It was great last year, leading the girls out at Huish Park is an absolute honour and it’s a proud moment for me every single time.
“It’s a big step up and hopefully we can compete this season.”
The Lady Glovers are in action this Sunday, away to Notts County in the SSE Women's FA Cup fifth round (ko 2pm).
Yeovil then kick off their first campaign in WSL 1 with a Spring Series match at home to Liverpool, at Huish Park on April 23.
They play three matches at the Viridor Stadium, Taunton, in May, hosting Bristol City (May 3), Arsenal (May 7) and Reading (May 17).
Bridgwater Town's Fairfax Park is then the venue for Yeovil's home matches against Sunderland (May 28) and Notts County (June 3).
