Regional League 3 South
Tor Knights 69, Taunton Vivary 54

VIVARY travelled to Knights in their final Regional League 3 South game of the season and made a strong start, ending the first quarter 18-16 up.

Knights quickly closed the gap and both teams continued goal for goal until Knights managed to take the lead, 34-31.

Vivary lost their flow in the third quarter, and Knights moved to 53-40.

This was to prove decisive, despite Vivary hitting back in the final quarter.

Somerset Division 1
Quantock 48, Avalon 47

QUANTOCK made a slow start and trailed 18-9 at the first break.

An injury to Andrea at WD saw Amy take that role and Tejah come on at GD.

The second quarter was quite different with the score goal for goal and Quantock were still nine adrift at half-time.

Quantock began to claw back the deficit and went into the final quarter only four behind.

Defensive pressure forced errors from Avalon and Becky at GS and Charlotte at GA created lots of space.

Avalon could not hold on to their lead and Quantock brilliantly won the quarter and the game.

Blackdown 41, Yeovil Aldon 39

BLACKDOWN started the match well by intercepting Aldon’s first centre and scoring the first point of the game. They ended the first quarter 15-8 up and it was 25-18 by half-time.

Aldon got into a good rhythm and moved the ball around the court, intercepted well and fed the ball into the shooters with accuracy to move to just four behind.

The final quarter saw both teams focus, protect the ball, feed well into the shooters for the match to end with Blackdown claiming the win.
