OAKE Manor's summer knock out competitions have now been completed.
The Scratch Cup was won by Simon Rudd, who narrowly beat last year’s club captain Nigel Jackson in the final.
Cyril Kelly won the Low Handicap Cup beating Pete Truman, Oake’s nett Club Champion, in the final.
In the High Handicap Cup Mark Mitchell came out the winner beating Darren Blows in the final.
The formidable pair of Rich Beesley and Andy Cooper were triumphant over James Kelly and Martin Robinson to win the Pairs Cup.
Paul Coleman and Paul Spackman pulled out all the stops in a close contest to beat Jamie Tong and Chris Warcup in the final of the Cothelstone Foresomes Cup.
Meanwhile, Gerald Greenaway won the Senior Captain’s Putter on Monday with a magnificent score of 42 points, narrowly beating Rod Fairbairn who scored 41.
Peter Welsh, seniors secretary, came third with 40 points, Alan Whittaker fourth on 39 points and John Evans and Ray Clay tied fifth on 37 points.
Ken Dalton won Division Two of the Bogey Competition, played on October 18, with an incredible score of +7 against the course. In second was Wayne Winmill at +6, third on +2 was Simon Clayton and Adrian Frost fourth on +1.
In Division One the scores were not quite as spectacular with Dean Jeans winning with +3 beating James Biggs on countback. Third was Cymon Giles on +2 and fourth John Greenslade Jnr on +1 Kath Barclay won the Ladies Medal Winners Medal on Sunday scoring a net 76 beating Sally Thomas on countback. Third was Janet Howe with a net 77.
Other Oake Ladies results. Stableford 12: Div One – 1 Shane Bordier 33pts, 2 Janet Howe 31, 3 Alice Cording 30, 4 Mo Young 27. Div Two – 1 Sally Thomas 29, 2 Barbara Sadler 28, 3 Margaret Summers 20, 4 Stella Buchanan 17.
Medal 14 (nett Scores): Div One – 1 Janet Howe 69, 2 Mo Young 71, 3 Cathy Sheppard 74, 4 A Pattemore 76, 5 Kathy Salway 76, 6 Rachel Hughes 79, 7 D Whittaker 86. Div Two – 1 Ginny Farnworth-Smith 70, 2 Joanna Fairburn 76, 3 Sally Thomas 76, 4 Anne Bartaby 81, 5 Barbara Sadler 81, 6 Diane Darlow 83, 7 Louise Kelly 87, 8 Angela Beer 95, 8 Stella Buchanan 101.
PHIL Lewis carded 41 points to finish overall winner in the October Stableford at Pickeridge on Saturday.
Lewis took top spot in Division One from Steve Sloman 38, Michael Fudge 37, Phil Worth 36 and Kevin Gidley 36.
Division Two was topped by Alan Itter with 39 from Stuart Collier 38, Richard Evered 35, Joe Adams 34 and Ron Ferris 34.
In Division Three, Sam Wadham claimed victory with 36 points followed by David White 35, Nathan Beesley 35, David Gibson 34 and Alan Ladd 32.
Fourteen players competed for the Midweek medal last Wednesday.
Brian Ahern, with a nett 67 took the Medal, from Roy Mitchell 70, Alistair Williams 70, Robert Parker 70 and Keith Bevan 70.
