THE Seniors Section at Taunton and Pickeridge Golf Club ran their annual Hamp Trophy Competition on March 15.

This was played prior to the annual meeting where outgoing seniors’ captain John Martin handed over the captaincy to Roger Nation.

David Edmundson was appointed seniors vice-captain for the forthcoming year.

Club vice-captain Jim Allan welcomed the appointments and congratulated the seniors for the significant contribution they made to T&P.

The Hamp Trophy was won by Stephen Hodgson with a massive total of 47 points from last year’s winner Mike Cooper with 44. Mike Higgins totalled 43 points with Malcolm Mynett and Colin Hatton on 42.
