OAKE Manor Golf Club have enjoyed a busy week with the club championship, the Seniors club championship, the Seniors Open championship and the Ladies Open 4 ball team Bowmaker.

In the club championship, with the course in an immaculate condition, former club captain Paul Spackman, playing off a handicap of five, walked away with both the gross and net trophies.

He finished with a combined 36 hole score of net 137. In windy conditions, the early leader after 18 holes was John Greenslade who carded a morning score of a gross 72.

However Greenslae slipped back in the afternoon session to finish in tied second place with a net 140, losing out to Junior captain Kieron Ashton and Nick Richardson on countback.

It was an amazing fightback by Ashton who was unplaced anywhere in the morning session after coming in with a net 77.

He made up for it in the afternoon by shooting a gross 77 (net) 63 to just pinch second place.
