TAUNTON Town have been drawn to face Larkhall Athletic in the FA Cup preliminary round as the Peacocks look to emulate last season's historic run in the competition.
The 2016/17 campaign saw Leigh Robinson's men reach the first round proper for the first time since 1981, and the home tie against their fellow Southern League Division 1 South & West side on August 19 represents the first step towards trying to repeat the feat.
The Peacocks' two league matches against Larkhall last season ended in vastly contrasting results - Taunton won 10-2 at the Viridor Stadium in January before falling to a 3-0 defeat in the reverse fixture two months later.
The draw for the FA Trophy has also been made, with Taunton hosting AFC Totton in the first round on October 7.
Southern League Premier outfit Merthyr Town await the winners in round two, which will take place on October 28.
