TAUNTON Town can extend their advantage at the top of Evo-Stik South West to seven points with victory over Barnstaple Town at the Viridor Stadium tonight (Tuesday, ko 7.45pm).

The Peacocks have three games in hand over second-placed Bristol Manor Farm, the first of which is this evening, and will be confident of picking up the three points against a side who sit third-bottom having won just three times all season.

The hosts will be choosing from an unchanged squad after Saturday's 3-2 win at Larkhall, with Ross Staley due to undergo a late fitness test.

Assistant manager Michael Meaker and coach Rob Dray will take charge of the team in the absence of manager Leigh Robinson, who has just started a new day job.

The two sides met earlier this season in the BigFreeBet.com Challenge Cup, with the Peacocks running out 4-2 winners, though Barnstaple claimed the spoils in the corresponding fixture last season as current Bridgwater Town boss Dave Pearse netted an injury-time winner.
