Taunton Town 1, North Leigh 0
BEN Adelsbury scored one penalty and missed another as Taunton Town returned to winning ways with a 1-0 victory over North Leigh at the Viridor Stadium.
Having lost 4-1 at home to Yate Town in midweek, a good start was essential, and that was what Leigh Robinson's men provided as Matt Wright was brought down on the quarter-hour mark.
Adelsbury made no mistake from the spot and, after the hosts saw another effort disallowed for offside, Taunton went into the break 1-0 up.
That was how it stayed until seven minutes from time, when Omar Simpson was brought down by the goalkeeper to provide Town with a chance to open up breathing space.
This time, however, Adelsbury blazed over, but Taunton were able to close out a vital three points.
