TAUNTON Town play their final home fixture of the season tonight, with the Evo-Stik Southern League champions hosting lowly Slimbridge at the Viridor Stadium (ko 7.45pm).

Having picked up the league silverware on Saturday, the Peacocks are now looking to extend their unbeaten run in the division to 33 games.

This match with 19th-placed Slimbridge has been rearranged twice, due to snow and then a waterlogged pitch.

Should Town win it, they will hit 100 points; five more goals will bring them to 100 league goals for the season.

Opponents Slimbridge have secured safety from relegation, and they almost defeated the Peacocks in the reverse fixture, only for Pierce Mitchell to score late on to rescue a 2-2 draw back in October.

Mitchell misses tonight's game, however, due to injury; fellow defenders Keith Emmerson and Nuno Felix are also unavailable.

It means manager Leigh Robinson will need to rotate his squad once again, though the impressive recent form of wing-back Joel Randall (on loan from Exeter City) is a boost.

ALSO in action tonight are Wellington AFC, away to Longwell Green Sports in the Toolstation Western League Premier Division (ko 7.30pm).

Wellington went down to a 2-0 defeat at Hengrove Athletic - for whom Giorgio Mancini scored twice - on Saturday, leaving them 14th in the standings, with tonight's opponents down in 19th (second bottom).

Bishops Lydeard, beaten 3-0 at Devizes Town on Saturday, with Thomas Slater (2) and Jack Hopper doing the damage, are without a midweek game.

They sit 12th in the First Division table, ahead of Saturday's trip to seventh-placed Welton Rovers (ko 3pm).
