The bride, a manager, is the youngest daughter of Mike and Joy Chedzoy, of Taunton. A reception for 70 guests was held at the Manor with the honeymoon spent in Mexico.

The bridegroom, a painter and decorator, is the eldest son of the late Sophie and Percy Bristow and the bride, a photo lab assistant, is the only daughter of the late Ernest and Irene Filmer. A reception for 100 guests was held at Bishop's Hull School and the couple spent their honeymoon in Torquay.

The bride is the daughter of Joyce and Scott Barr, of Caton Close, Suttonin- Ashfield, Nottinghamshire. The bridegroom is the son of Mrs Susan and Mr James Padden, of West View, Creech St Michael.

	THE marriage of Ms Emma Burt and Mr Sheridan Alder, of Curry Rivel, took place on Christmas Eve at Crewkerne Community Church. The bride was given away by her son, Kieren Burt, aged seven. The bride's niece, Molly Burt, was bridesmaid and Mr Will Reeves was best man. A reception for 120 guests was held at the County Stores, Taunton.

	ON the Saturday after Christmas Robert (Bob) Thomas Wine, of Henlade, and Denise Mary Ann Webb, of Street, were married by the Rev Ian Aldersley at St Georgefs Church, Ruishton. The families of the bridegroom and the bride were invited to a luncheon party afterwards. The next day the happy couple and their families joined over 100 friends to celebrate their wedding at Ruishton village hall.
