Gary Oldman thought he had lost his precious script
Gary Oldman has revealed how he feared for his career after losing his script for the latest Batman movie.
The 54-year-old actor, who plays Commissioner George in The Dark Knight Rises, mislaid the top secret script in a hotel and was terrified that it would be leaked.
Gary told US talk show host Jimmy Kimmel: "I was in a panic for 20 minutes. I thought my career had ended."
Luckily the Batman script was eventually found under his bed, but Gary explained how the huge presence of online media aided his terror: "There was a paranoia around it as we live in an age with the internet and blogs...
"I'd be thrown out of showbiz."
Gary also revealed demure The Devil Wears Prada actress Anne Hathaway had really impressed him in the role of Catwoman.
He said: "Not to give anything away, Anne Hathaway, she is a revelation in this film. Boy, she can time a line, huh?"
The Dark Knight Rises is due to be released on July 20.
