Take your pets with you on holiday!
Pets Come Too! with this special Visit Britain guide.
Pets Come Too! with this special Visit Britain guide.

EVER been put off going on holiday because you can't bear to leave your pets at home or in a holiday home being looked after by strangers?

Those clever people at Visit Britain have come up with the official tourist board guide Pets Come Too!', a guide to quality assessed pet friendly hotels, BandBs, and self catering accommodation in England.

It might be that you also feel guilty about leaving your pet behind as you go off to enjoy yourselves.

But there is another way, as Pets Come Too!' is packed with comprehensive information to find the perfect pet-friendly accommodation where your pet will be happily welcomed. Even horse owners will be surprised at the increasing number of establishments offering stabling and grazing!

The full colour guide is divided into regions and gives details of places to visit and diary dates for 2008, tourist information centres are listed and there is a map of each region.

Then comes the list of accommodation, with prices, comprehensive details of the facilities offered, how it is situated and whether it has views, is close to the beach or how far away from the shops, and of course that all important pets welcome' listing. It goes further than that by telling you: pets welcome by arrangement, charge for pets, pets allowed in bedrooms, pets allowed in public areas, separate sleeping areas for pets, and whether pet exercise areas. Of course, the key also includes all the other details you need to know such as rooms, general info, leisure, and so on.

There are plenty of other maps and general tourist information to make this a must guide for anyone wanting to take their pet away with them - some proprietors even provide a welcome pack for your pampered pet - with local attractions, activities and events and heaps of other useful detail you could use for a short break or a longer holiday.

Once again, Visit Britain have come up trumps with this extremely useful guide.

Visit Britain promotes the country as a world class tourist destination and develops England's visitor economy, with offices and representatives in 36 countries. In 2005 there were 30million visitors to Britain, 8% up on 2004, spending £14.2billion in the UK, a 9% increase.

Pets Come Too! costs £9.99.
