Betty Chudleigh On 12th March Betty Chudleigh enjoyed her 100th birthday at a small party of 24 guests at Gotton Manor Care Home, most of whom Betty knew as children. Betty joined the Royal Air Force during WW2 on reaching 17, serving at a number of air stations, and went on to marry Robert (Bob) Chudleigh. Betty has lived in Taunton all her life regularly going to County Stores for coffee with mother and friends - her mother also celebrated 100 years. In her closing thank you speech Betty remarked that she looks forward to seeing everyone for her 150th birthday. Betty is shown in the picture with one of her many bouquets and the acknowledgment from King and Queen of her milestone birthday. Special thanks to Gotton Manor for allowing the family to use the facilities.
