Notice effective from
10th October 2019 to 9th November 2019

Dorset Council
Temporary Closure of Various Roads, Swanage
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along the following roads in Swanage:
Wills Road; Cow Lane; Priest Road (Gordon Street to Bell Street); Hillsea Road; South Road: Cecil Road; Linden Road; Stafford Road; Exeter Road; Taunton Road (High Street to Cluny Crescent); Grosvenor Road: Sentry Road; Seymer Road; Bell View Road; and Steer Road.
The order is needed to comply with Health and Safety Regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. It will come into operation on Monday 28 October 2019 and will remain in force for 18 months. However, it is anticipated that the works take place on weekdays only, between 08.00hrs and 16.00hrs, and will be completed by Friday 08 November 2019. Please note that the works will take place in phases - the roads to be worked on will be closed on days indicated by the traffic signs on site. This order will enable Dorset County Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing. Signed diversion routes will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.
If you would like further information about the work being undertaken, please call Dorset Highways Operations Team on 01305 228100. Dated: 11 October2019.
JOHN SELLGREN, Executive Director of Place, Dorset Council, South Walks House, Dorchester, Dorset DT1 1UZ.
