Temporary Closure of Hillview, Martinstown
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along HILLVIEW, MARTINSTOWN outside Hillview Corner and Washing Pool House, a distance of approximately 5 metres. The Order is needed in orderto comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimisethe likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 14 October 2019 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 1 November 2019.
This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out the replacement of existing culvert with HDPE pipe encased in concrete.
A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.

Nottington Lane, Weymouth - Road Humps
Under Section 90A of the Highways Act 1980 Dorset Council hereby gives notice that it proposes to remove the existing road humps and reposition new road humps in Nottington Lane, Weymouth.
The road humps will be constructed to the Department for Transport specification. A plan showing the amendment is available for inspection during normal office hours at:- Main Reception, Dorset Council, County Hall, Colliton Park, Dorchester. Should you wish to make any observations on this proposal (whether you support or object to the proposal) you should make them in writing by 1 November 2019. Any objections must specify the grounds on which they are made. Letters will be made available for public inspection. Dated: 10 October 2019.

Notice of Confirmation of a Public Path Diversion and Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order Highways Act 1980 Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 Dorset County Council (Part of Footpath 75, Weymouth at Chesil Vista Holiday Park) Public Path Diversion Order 2019
On 13 September 2019 Dorset Council confirmed the above named order made under
Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 as unopposed and the Council has certified
that work has been carried out to bring the site of the new highway mentioned in
article 3 of the order into a fit condition for use by the public.
The effect of the order as confirmed is to divert part of Footpath 75, Weymouth as
shown on the order map as follows:-
From the existing path:
From its junction with Portland Road at Ferrybridge Roundabout at SY 66657637, west north west along the entrance road to Chesil Vista Holiday Park to SY 66617638, then turn north west, along an access road, via steps, continuing north west along a double fenced path to rejoin the unaffected part of Footpath 75, west south west of 256 Portland Road at SY 66597642. (No recorded width). To the new path:
From its junction with the footway of Portland Road, east south east of 256 Portland Road at SY 66637642, west north west along a gravel surfaced path, walled on both sides to rejoin the unaffected part of Footpath 75, west south west of 256 Portland Road at SY 66597642. Width: 2 metres, except for 1.85 metres at SY 66637642. A copy of the order as confirmed and the order map have been placed and may be seen free of charge at Reception, County Hall, Colliton Park, Dorchester during normal office hours. Copies of the order and map may be bought there at the price of £10.00. Copies are also available on our website at

The order comes into force on 20 September 2019 but if any person aggrieved by the order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within six weeks from 10 October 2019, make an application to the High Court.

Temporary Closure of Lower Way, Chickerell
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along LOWER WAY, CHICKERELL from its junction with Putton Lane to its junction with Rashley Road, a distance of approximately 100 metres. The order is needed in orderto comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 26 October 2019 and will remain in force for 18 months. however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 3 November 2019.
This Order will enable SGN, safe access to make connections for mains replacement.
An alternative vehicular route will be signed using; Lower Way - East Street -
Putton Lane.
