Somerset County Council Footpaths T32/2A and T 32/4 in the Parish of West Monkton (Temporary Closure of Footpath) Order 2020
Somerset County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, intends to make an Order, the effect of which will be to introduce the following temporary traffic restrictions as detailed in the Schedule below.
This Order will come into operation on the 26* day of March 2020 and will remain in force for six months. The effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of vehicles and people on the footpaths specified in the Schedule to this Order. It is anticipated that the closure will be implemented on the 13th April 2020 and the restrictions will apply when indicated by traffic signs.

Temporary Closure of Footpaths and Bridleways
From proceeding along Footpath T 32/2A from a point approximately 13 metres south of the junction with Toneway for a distance of 430 metres in a north then westerly direction. From proceeding along Footpath T 32/4 from the junction with Bridgwater Road, Taunton in an easterly direction for a distance of approximately 43 metres.
Statement of reasons for making the Order
a) because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road; or

b) because of the likelihood of danger to the public, or of serious damage to the road, which is not attributable to such works.
