Temporary Closure of New Claim T534, Weymouth
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14  of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic [Temporary Restrictions] Act 1991.
All pedestrians will be prohibited from proceeding along routes affected in the New Claim T534, Weymouth. The routes affected are; grid reference SY 684 826, grid reference SY 684 825, grid reference SY 684 824, and grid reference SY 685 825, a distance of approximately 785 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with Health and Safety Regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users.
It will come into operation on the 29 April 2020, for a period of 26 weeks. This order can be extended, with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport, if necessary. This is an extension to the previous order. The Order is required to allow to impermeant planning permission WP/17/000832 On this occasion there is no reasonable alternative route.

Extension of Age Range at Wimborne First School
By Virtue of Schedule 3 of the School Organisation (Prescribed Alterations to Maintained Schools) (England) Regulations 2013, Dorset Council is required to consult on changes to provision at Maintained Schools including alteration of upper or lower age range by 1 year or more (including the removal of nursery provision). A consultation is now being initiated with the publication of this notice proposing the following changes:
1. Wimborne First School will extend their provision to open as Wimborne First and Nursery School with effect from 1st September 2020.
2. Wimborne First School will then formally extend their age range from 4-9 to 2-9 provision from the 1st September 2020.
