Dorset Council has made an Amendment Orderto 'The Borough of Weymouth and Portland (Waiting Restrictions) (Consolidation) Order 2011' under relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ('the Act') and under Part 6 of the Traffic Management Act 2004 and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with statutory requirement and in compliance with The Local Authorities' Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996.

When the order comes into operation on 10 July 2020the effect of the Order will be to prohibit waiting at anytime along sections of the following roads: ?Bumpers Lane, Portland ? Wakeham, Portland

Relevant exemptions will apply where appropriate and as necessary in accordance with the provisions of the Order. Due to the current Covid-19 situation, it is not possible for Dorset Council to have documents on deposit for people to view at County Hall. If you wish to question the validity of the Order or any provisions contained in it on the groundsthat it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or of any Instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order you may within six weeks of the date of this Notice apply to the High Court for that purpose. Temporary Closure of Friar Waddon Lane, Friar Waddon

DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along FRIAR WADDON LANE, FRIAR WADDON between Friar Waddon House and its junction to Corton, a distance of approximately 310 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 20 July 2020 and will remain in force for 18 months. However, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 25 September 2020

This Order will enable National Grid Company to lay 12 ducts across Friar Waddon Lane and create bell mouth for temporary access point.

Temporary Traffic Management Order of George Street, West Bay, Bridport (Covid-19 Distance Measures)

DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited and restricted from proceeding along GEORGE STREET, WEST BAY, BRIDPORT as indicated by signs on site. The Order is needed in orderto comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 13 July 2020 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated thatthe restrictions may only be in use until the end of the Summer season 2020. This Order will enable Dorset Council to implement social distancing measures for pedestrians. The effect of this Order is as follows:

[1] To implement a road closure to provide a pedestrian only zone on George Street from its junction with North Side Basin for a distance of 30 metres in a northerly direction.

[2] To suspend the one-way system on George Street from its junction with North Side Basin for a distance of 50 metres in a north east direction to enable temporary two-way system.

[3] To implement a Clearway on George Street between Anchors Aweigh and the access to The Rise.

[4] To implement a Clearway on George Street (Riverside) from its junction with North Side Basin for a distance of

50 metres in a north east direction.
