Temporary Closure of Unclassified Road Between The Manor & Church View, Buckland Newton

DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along the UNCLASSIFIED ROAD BETWEEN THE MANOR & CHURCH VIEW, BUCKLAND NEWTON for a distance of approximately 100 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 27 July 2020 and will remain in force for 18 months. however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 8 August 2020.

This Order will enable Wessex Water, safe access to install meter, PRVand bypass onto water main.

An alternative vehicular route will be signed using; Factory Lane - B3143 - unclassified road past school to Cranes

Meadow.

Temporary Closure of Unclassified Road Between Long Bredy& Little Bredy

DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along UNCLASSIFIED RD BETWEEN LONG BREDY & LITTLE BREDY from itsjunction with the main road through Long Bredy to Pitcombe Farm, a distance of approximately 1130 metres. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areasand to minimise the likelihood of dangerto highway users. It will come into operation on 13 July2020 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 24 July 2020. This Order will enable BT, safe access to underground cabling with potential blockages and excavate to lay duct. An alternative route will be signed using: Long Bredy-A35- Little Bredy.

Temporary Closure of Footpath 38, Puddletown

DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended. All pedestrians will be prohibited from proceeding along part of Footpath 38 from grid reference SY 756 944 to grid reference SY 755 944, a distance of approximately 60 metres. The Order is needed to comply with Health and Safety Regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. It will come into operation on 24 July 2020 for a period of 6 months. But may be extended by the Secretary of State if required. This closure is required to allowthe construction of two properties.

Temporary Closure of Bridleway No. 5, Long Bredy

DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended. All pedestrians, horse riders and cyclists will be prohibited from proceeding along part of Bridleway S28/5 from grid reference SY 571 913 to grid reference SY 576 907, a distance of approximately 975 metres. The Order is needed to comply with Health and Safety Regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of dangerto Highway Users. It will come into operation on 24 July 2020 for a period of 6 months. But may be extended by the Secretary of State if required.

Notice of Confirmation of a Public Path Diversion and Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order Highways Act 1980 Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 Dorset Council (Part of Bridleway 42, Kingston Russell at Whatcombe

House)

Public Path Diversion Order 2019

On 26 June 2020 Dorset Council confirmed the above named order made under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 as unopposed and the Council has certified that work has been carried out to bring the site of the new highway mentioned in article 3 of the order into a fit condition for use by the public.

The effect of the order as confirmed is to divert part of Bridleway 42, Kingston Russell at Whatcombe House as shown on the order map as follows:-From the existing way:

From its junction with the D11904 road at SY 57818959, opposite Bridleway 49, Kingston Russell, generally north north east via a steep tarmac driveway and then through three field gates passing three outbuildings, and north into a paddock before crossing into a field to rejoin the unaffected part of Bridleway 42, north of Whatcombe House at SY 57848979. (No recorded width). To a new way:

From itsjunction with the D11904 road at SY 57838958, generally north north east across a field to SY 57848965, then north north east along the edge of a second field to SY 57868970 and north and north west through a paddock (via SY 57868971) to SY 57858973. Continue north north west along the edge of another field to rejoin the unaffected part of Bridleway 42, north of Whatcombe House at SY 57848979.

Width: Between SY 57838958 and SY 57848979 is 4 metres. Limitations: Field gates at SY 57838958, SY 57848965 and SY 57868970, Bridle gate at SY 57858973, all to BS5709:2018.

The order comes into force on 3 July 2020 but if any person aggrieved by the order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within six weeks from 9 July 2020, make an application to the High Court.
