District of Somerset West and Taunton Deane Parish of Wiveliscombe Temporary Prohibition of Vehicles

Somerset County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an Order, the effect of which will be to introduce the following temporary traffic restriction as detailed in the Schedule to the Order.
This Order will come into operation on 25th March 2021 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The effect of which will be to introduce a Temporary Prohibition of Vehicles in the road specified in the schedule to this Order. The restrictions will apply when indicated by traffic signs. The works are expected to start on the 29th March 2021 until th 6th April 2021.

Temporary Prohibition of Vehicles
Langley Marsh Road, Wiveliscombe - From its junction with Whitefield Road, westwards for a distance of 300 metres. The proposed date of the closure is 29th March 2021 for 9 days.
Statement of reasons for making the Order
a) because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road
b) because of the likelihood of danger to the public, or of serious damage to the road, which is not attributable to such works
