Notice is hereby given that on 1st April 2021 Somerset County Council made the above order in exercise of its powers in the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as previously advertised on the 25* March 2021 to introduce the following temporary traffic restrictions in the roads specified in the Schedule to this Order. The Order comes into effect on the 8th April 2021 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The restrictions will apply when indicated by traffic signs.

Temporary Prohibition of Vehicles

Blackwater Lane, Wiveliscombe - For its entire length. The proposed date of the closure is 13th April 2021 for 15 days.
Whitefield Rocks, Wiveliscombe - For its entire length. The proposed date of the closure is 13th April 2021 for 15 days.
Forches Cross to Cordings Ball, Wiveliscombe -For its entire length. The proposed date of the closure is 13th April 2021 for 15 days.
This order will enable Gigaclear to carry out a rolling programme of underground cabling works with clearing of potential duct (pipe) blockages in this road.

While the closure is in operation an alternative route will be signed as detailed below.

Statement of reasons for making the Order
a) because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road
b) because of the likelihood of danger to the public, or of serious damage to the road, which is not attributable to such works
