Temporary Closure of Oaken Ground

Somerset County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, have made an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Oaken Ground - from the junction of Oaken Ground, south eastward for a total distance of 93 metres. This Order will enable Avonline to carry out infrastructure works on behalf of Gigaclear. The Order becomes effective on 28th October 2021 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The works are expected to commence on 1st November 2021 and last until 5th November 2021 between the hours of (00:00 - 23:59) for a total of 5 days. There is no alternative route for this closure. The works promoter will contact residents and business directly to discuss access arrangements.
