Gloucestershire County Council has made an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of 41491 Wallow Green Road outside the properly known as Overdale for a distance of approximately 30 metres. The reason for the closure is to repair a water pipe in the carriageway.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF FOOTPATH MMH 57 (MINCHINHAMPTON PARISH) STROUD DISTRICT

NOTICE is hereby given that Gloucestershire County Council intend to make an Order to close temporarily under Sections 14,15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 (as amended) part of Public Footpath MMH 57 in the Parish of Minchinhampton from its junction with Giddynap Lane in a generally south easterly direction for a distance of approximately 100 metres to a point alongside the Multi-user/cycle. The closure is necessary to protect the public whilst a bridge is replaced.

The Order will come into force on the 31 st January 2022 and it is anticipated that the footpath will close on that day until 1 st April 2022. However, the Order can permit the closure of the Footpath for up to six months from the date of the initial closure. After this date if the closure is still required it will be necessary to apply to the Secretary of State for an extension of time. Proposed alternative route; as signed on the Order Map.

Proposed alternative route;

Pedestrian access to properties will be maintained for the duration of the works. However, Emergency access will not be maintained whilst the bridge is being replaced.
