Temporary Closure of East Nynehead Road

Somerset County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along East Nynehead Road - from 700 metres west of the junction with Oake Road, westwards for a total distance of 100 metres. This Order will enable Network Rail to carry out tamping of track, and replace entire road crossing. The Order becomes effective on 5th May 2022 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The works are expected to commence on 14th May 2022 and last until 15th May 2022 between the hours of 23:15 - 08:00 for a total of 1 night.

b) because of the likelihood of danger to the public, or of serious damage to the road, which is not attributable to such works.
