Somerset County Council B3227 Wiveliscombe Road, Norton Fitzwarren in the Parish of Norton Fitzwarren (Temporary 10 mph Speed Limit) Order 2022
Somerset County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, intends to make an Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary 10 mph Speed Limit as specified in the Schedule below.
This Order will come into operation on the 26th day of May 2022 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The Works are expected to commence on the 30th day of May 2022 for 3 days between 09:30 hours and 15:30 hours in order to install new cables. Restrictions will only apply when indicated by traffic signs.

Schedule Temporary 10 mph Speed Limit B3227 Wiveliscombe Road, Norton Fitzwarren -From a point 30 metres east of the junction with the Manor Park Road in an easterly, south-easterly direction for a distance of 160 metres.

Statement of reasons for making the Order
a) because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road; or
b) because of the likelihood of danger to the public, or of serious damage to the road, which is not attributable to such works.
