ENVIRONMENT AGENCY ANNOUNCEMENT OF INTENTION NOT TO PREPARE AN ENVIRONMENTAL STATEMENT (Regulation 5 of the Environmental Impact Assessment (Land Drainage Improvement Works) Regulations 1999 as amended by SI 2005/1399 and SI 2006/618
Currypool Flow Gauging Station
The Environment Agency gives notice that it proposes to carry out improvement works to the flood defences on Currypool Flow Gauging Station, Currypool Stream, Spaxton, Bridgewater TA5 2NH (NGR ST2214538184). The proposed improvement works will involve the following: Design and build a realignment of the left bank revetment just upstream of the weir. Design and build repairs to failing mortared stone bed and banks downstream of the concrete weir structure to protect against scour. The Environment Agency considers that the improvement works are not likely to have significant effects on the environment and does not intend to prepare an environmental statement in respect of them. The works information is available for review by appointment with the project manager at the address below.
Any person wishing to make representations in relation to the likely environmental effects of the proposed improvement works should do so, in writing, to the address specified below, within 28 days of the date of publication of this notice.
