THREE men have denied the murder of a man shot dead at a Somerset traveller site.

Charlie Broadway, 23, appeared at Bristol Crown Court via video link from Bristol prison, while Billy, 18, and John Broadway, 37, both appeared via video link from Exeter prison.

John, Billy, and Charlie Broadway, all from Ilton, each pleaded not guilty to three counts; one count of murder, one count of attempted murder, and one count of possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.

A trial date has been set for October 24, and is expected to last four to five weeks, and there will be further case management on August 26.

Judge Michael Longman ordered the Crown has to deliver all scientific evidence in the form of gunshot residue, ballistics, pathology, DNA, or telephone evidence by July 31, and until June 28 to deliver non-specialist evidence.

The trio were charged over the death of 50-year-old Wilfred Isaacs, who died after being shot at a traveller's site at Chubbard's Cross, Ilton, on May 5.
