THREE pupils from King’s College have earned places to study at Oxbridge universities.

The students have been offered places to study subjects at either Oxbridge or Cambridge.

School captain, Harry Cooper-Simpson, has been awarded a place to read materials science at Queen’s College, Oxford.

Another student, Lorcan Cudlip-Cook, has been offered a place to read English at Pembroke College, Cambridge.

Former school captain, Charles Collins, who left King’s College last summer, has been offered a place to read philosophy and theology at Pembroke College, Oxford.

Headmaster, Richard Biggs said the trio had worked hard at their prestigious applications.

He said: “Charles, Lorcan and Harry have been inspired and supported by the school and their teachers.

“They have worked hard at their applications, reading widely to ensure sure they were interesting and attractive candidates.

“I congratulate them very warmly.”

Mr Briggs added that the school ensures its pupils develop a love for learning, taking them beyond what is expected of them to learn.

He said: “King’s College’s proud track record of Oxbridge success underlines our academic credentials.
