TAUNTON School has outstanding results, state of the art facilities and a beautiful campus, but that really is a given when you send your child to an independent school.

Headmaster Lee Glaser says that what sets Taunton School apart is the cohesive community that the school has and how accessible it is to families.

He said: “It’s not a school for just the rich and elite. With our recent assisted places campaign, which has been hugely popular, many professional families have chosen Taunton School for their children because of the education and opportunities that we offer. I firmly believe that education can and should be life changing and that is what we strive to deliver at Taunton School.”

What the community says about the education and opportunities on offer at the school is what Mr Glaser is most proud of.

Jack Keegan, a senior school student, said: “Taunton School has nurtured, challenged and supported me to achieve far greater results than I ever thought was possible.”

Parent Sadie Ellison, whose son is in Year 5 of the prep school, said: “Taunton School is a fantastic school and we are so pleased that we chose it. The children are actively encouraged to be the best they can be.”

Hamish McCarthy, head of geography in the prep school, said: “The desire to challenge, nurture and inspire pupils permeates the entire school.”

“Whether it is 13-year-old children racing Royal Marines across the English Channel or our pre-prep exploring our forest school, it fills me with immense pride to work here.”

The Good Schools Guide describes Taunton School as: “Especially popular with hardworking local entrepreneurs, businesspeople and professionals for a number of whom this is their first experience of private education.”

The Independent Schools Inspectorate report says “pupils demonstrate high levels of self-understanding for their age.”

The school’s next Whole School Open Day is on Monday, May 7.
