Two Red Ruby prize winning pedigree heifers stolen from Colleton Barton in Devon on the night of October 1 have been found alive and well.
Devon & Cornwall Police Rural Affairs - Devon have reported that the two year old and yearling have been reunited with their rightful owner.
The police attributed the success to social media and tweeted:
"Remember the tweet about #Livestock #Theft from last week? Both heifers are now back with their rightful owner. Thank you all for your help in circulating the details & making them #TooHotToHandle. Yet another example of the positive impact of #socialmedia on tackling #RuralCrime."
