Calne police
POLICE are stepping up patrols around Calne following increased reports of cars speeding past horses writes Niki Hinman.
They say a red Volkswagen Golf has been causing a nuisance in the rural areas around Bremhill near Calne, by driving at inappropriate speeds and passing horses with no regards for the safety of the horse or rider.
The driver has been reprimanded about the standard of his driving. Police patrols will be monitoring the situation in the coming weeks.
