THE Royal Cornwall Agricultural Association (RCAA) has launched a series of farming-related educational activities that children can do whilst at home now that schools have closed.

There are opportunities to learn about topics such as livestock and dairy farming, and activities that cover subjects such as english, science and art.

In the light of the Covid-19 outbreak, the activity sheets give parents some different and unique ideas for home lessons, and focus on how farms work, where food come from, and the environment.

The resources are free to use and available on the RCAA website. There are activity sheets that work alongside educational videos.

The Association's aim is to provide a practical and stimulating method of learning, beyond the norms of the classroom.

They have invited those who take part to share their work using the hashtag #FrontRoomFarming

The activities can be downloaded at: http://www.royalcornwallshow.org/education/farm-and-country-activity-sheets/
