FIREFIGHTERS were called to a "large vehicle" on fire in a field in West Somerset.
A member of the public alerted the fire and rescue service after spotting flames and smoke in the field off Stoney Street, Luccombe, at around 5.30pm yesterday (Thursday).
Fire engines from Minehead and Porlock attended the incident along with a water carrier from Bridgwater.
A Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "On arrival, the incident commander confirmed that a baler was well alight and got crews to work to extinguish the fire using a hose reel jet, breathing apparatus and a safety jet."
