A tractor caught fire in a field at Harford Barton near Landkey in Devon on Saturday (February 20).
Arriving on the scene at 4.30pm, two crews from Barnstaple found the tractor to be well alight.
Crews got to work with breathing apparatus and a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.
The on-call crew supplied water and helped with the environmental protection of the area.
Once the fire was out, crews used a thermal imaging camera to make sure that there were no hidden hotspots that may lead to a re-ignition later that evening.
The cause of the fire has been confirmed to be accidental.
