A barn near Sidmouth is thought to have been set on fire deliberately.
The barn at Putts Corner in Sidbury caught fire on Monday night (April 26).
Police reported the fire to Devon and Somerset Fire Control just before 11pm.
Fire crews brought engines from Honiton, Ottery St Mary and Sidmouth attended, together with a water carrier from Danes Castle.
A spokesperson said: " On arrival, the Incident Commander confirmed that a barn measuring 7m x 20m was fully involved in fire and got crews to work to extinguish the fire using breathing apparatus, hose reel jets and main jets.
"The fire, which is believed to have been started deliberately, caused approximately 75 per cent heat and smoke damage to the building."
